赵颖,笔名石趣。1949年生于安徽颖上,长于淮南。早年曾受教于安徽艺术学院美术系,师从于安徽著名山水画家郭公达、朱松发先生。九十年代初移居北京从事职业书画创作,先后拜著名画家官布先生为师,并受秦岭云、黄润华先生的教诲和指导,受益匪浅。现为中国少数民族美术促进会理事、北京美术家协会会员、安徽美术家协会会员。

赵颖学画刻苦,为打好基本功积极积累创作素材,坚持每年到全国各地写生采风,从雁荡山到黄山、九华山;从新疆边陲到内蒙草原;并徒步长城,深入太行,远涉西双版纳等地写生。历时多年,感悟自然,探索冥想。写生书稿数以千计,创作出了一大批反映长城、大草原、太行山等独特景色的十余个系列山水画巨作。赵颖在研习中国画四十余年的过程中,注重传统理论与技法的学习,并向现当代名家汲取营养,创作技法日臻成熟,并形成了自己独特的艺术风格。

他在创作实践中感悟的水墨草原平远法、水墨点染森林法、泼彩肌理法等技法,受到了业内专家以及书画评论家的好评与肯定。其作品近几年被拍实行及收藏界所追捧,被誉为中国当代实力派书画家。几年来近百幅作品先后在国内外大展中展出、获奖,许多作品被国内一些知名博物馆、纪念馆收藏。

Zhao Ying, pen name Shi Qu. Born in Yingshang, Anhui in 1949, grew up in Huainan. In his early years, he was taught by the Department of Fine Arts of Anhui Academy of Arts and studied under the famous landscape painters Guo Gongda and Zhu Songfa in Anhui. In the early 1990s, he moved to Beijing to engage in professional calligraphy and painting creation. He successively studied under the famous painter Mr. Guan Bu, and benefited greatly from the teachings and guidance of Mr. Qin Lingyun and Mr. Huang Runhua. He is currently a director of the China Ethnic Art Promotion Association, a member of the Beijing Artists Association, and a member of the Anhui Artists Association.

Zhao Ying studied painting hard, and actively accumulated creative materials in order to lay a good foundation. She insisted on sketching and collecting styles all over the country every year, from Yandang Mountain to Mount Huangshan Mountain and Jiuhua Mountain; From the border of Xinjiang to the grasslands of Inner Mongolia; And hike on the Great Wall, delve deep into the Taihang Mountains, and travel as far as Xishuangbanna to sketch from life. Over the years, I have experienced nature and explored meditation. There are thousands of sketching manuscripts, creating over ten series of landscape paintings that reflect unique landscapes such as the Great Wall, the Great Grassland, and the Taihang Mountains. During the process of studying Chinese painting for more than 40 years, Zhao Ying emphasized the study of traditional theories and techniques, and drew nourishment from modern and contemporary masters. Her creative techniques gradually matured and formed her own unique artistic style.

His techniques such as the ink painting grassland leveling method, ink painting forest coloring method, and splashing color texture method, which he comprehended in his creative practice, have received praise and affirmation from industry experts and calligraphy and painting critics. In recent years, his works have been highly sought after by the photography and collection industry, and he is known as a powerful calligrapher and painter in contemporary China.
